Paris, 1896. A writer named Hubert Libert is shocked to discover that Icarus, the protagonist of his novel, has disappeared, and he hires the detective Morcol to find him so he can complete his work. Having escaped from the pages of the manuscript, Icarus roams around Montparnasse, where he learns to drink absinthe and flirt, getting involved in hilarious adventures and developing a particular interest in transportation. Soon, two more characters will leave the manuscript in search of Icarus, who in the meantime has found a job at a car repair shop.
